HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR! HUAT AH!

These few days have been quite a busy day. So i really dont have the time for blogging. So sorry about it.. *SOBS*

But still, I have something to share with you!

Ah Boys to Men: Frogmen

This movie is directed by our Singaporean Director - Jack Neo. Movie was released on 19th Feburary 2015, on the first day of the Goat Year.

Ah Boys to Men 3: Frogmen is the 3rd movie in the ABTM franchise. From the previous 2 movie, it is about the story as a recruit in Tekong. But in ABTM3, they are being brought to Naval Diving Unit (NDU) - one of the xiong-est place in army for the toughest 40 weeks of training, instead to the old usual story.

Well, we still have the old characters but someone new as well:

1. Ken Chow - By Joshua Tan

He is the rich kid living in huge house, with maid.

2. Aloysius Jin Sia Lan AKA Wayang King - By Maxi Lim

All he things about is being the best out of best. But his enthusiasm made everyone in his cabin dislike him.

3. Lobang - By Wang Weiliang

He is a fella whom may not seems to be well-off, but he is definitely a street-smart person who knows to get tibits into his cabin and also know how to deal with lots of situations.

4. HeiLong - By Wesley Wong [New added character]

He is an aggressive gang leader who always pick on Wayang King and also like to fight.

And I nearly forgot! My favourite Sergeant Ong!! LOLS

5. Sergeant Alex Ong - By Tock Rock Zhang

He is the one in charge of these people above. He may seems to be really fierce but he is always out there to support the team and be there for those who are really in need.

My Review:

I personally think that this movie is one of the best among the 3 films. This movie made me teared, laughed and went into deep thoughts about how the boys went through their training in NDU.

Something that I remember clearly is when Lobang had to go home to deal with his family problem. Yet, the officer refuse to let him take time off. So he had no choice but to swim with his comrade from the camp to Sembawang Camp. And when he is back, the officer said that there are times you have to choose to do thing rightfully wrong and also wrongfully right.

I personally agree. Life is about making choices. Maybe it may seems to be rule breaking, but you are trying to undo the mistake that was there. In life, there is no right or wrong, it is all about making your own moves and choice. And by making use of whatever you learned, you will make the best out of what you have.

Of course there are some parts that made me go into laughters.

I hope everyone will go and support our Singapore Film.. This movie is super nice.. It is a must watch movie!! What are you waiting for? Go grab the tickets!! When we went on 2nd day of showing, it is mostly full house for most of the movie timings.

Well, Ms. Moo has a movie review to share with you today!

Yes.. It is the Mortdecai Movie!

Movie is starred by my favourite Johnny Depp!!

This movie is about Lord Charlie Mortdecai (Johnny Depp) who is an art dealer facing bankruptcy. He appeared with his curly mustache which he believe is able to give him MAGIC..

Well, at the starting of the movie, Mortdecai is dealing with some Hong Kong gangster, Fang, on a rare vase. But unfortunately it didnt turn out well. Mortdecai's loyal man servent, Jock came to the rescue and save his ass. But in this deal, Mortdecai lost both the vase and his money.

Mortdecai's beautiful wife Johanna (Gwyneth Paltrow) was surprised to see Mortdecai with a mustache and was gagging wheneve he kisses her. (SO CUTE!)

Now, the whole story comes..

So a woman named Browen who is cleaning a Goya painting. Unfortunately, she was being killed one day by a thief whom is being robbed by another thief (How irony)

This is where an inspector Alistair came into investigation. He visited Mortdecai, asking for his help. And apparently, Alistair was madly in love with Johanna since school days and sadly, he found out that Johanna and Mortdecai were sleeping together.

So the deal was for Mortdecai to find the painting and IN RETURN, Mortdecai get 10% of the insurance.

So will Mortdecai get the money to get out of bankruptcy? You should really go watch!

I personally LOVE the movie.. ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE MOVIE!

You can literally see Johnny Depp and Gwynth speaking in a British accident. And yes, Johnny Depp portrays Englishman super well like always. I like the way he say man-servant and how he cares about the interaction with Johanna and the Inspector Alistair.

I also do like the way he get into trouble and how his man-servant Jock help him get out of it. And yes, you see LOYALTY! Even if he were to get his finger chopped off, Jock still wants to protect Mortdecai. How sweet!

And even if Johanna seems to not care about Mortdecai, but she gets jealous when Mortdecai says that some other ladies love his little mustache and she actually flew all the way down to look for Mortdecai.. AWWWW..

This movie is a MUST WATCH! You will totally regret if you were to miss this movie! It is a real comedy that you will definitely enjoy.

Movie Review: Seventh Son

On Wednesday, Mr Roar finally get to watch the movie that he longed for -- Seventh Son. It is in cinema since 31st December. We went to Bugis Filmgrade.

This movie is about the battle between the witch and the Spook. The Spook locked the powerful Mother Malkin under a dungeon but red moon will make her regain her power and finally freed herself.

Mother Malkin then wanted for a revenge by finding the Spook. Unknowingly, Spook's apprentice were killed and he had to look for another one before it is the full red moon. Hence, the Spook had to find the Seventh Son's Seventh Son, who is believed to be the most powerful person who can fight evil spirits.

The apprentice learned many thing and eventually found out that his mother is a witch as well, which makes him a very suitable person to fight against Mother Malkin. And eventually, the Spook admitted that he was in love with Mother Malkin when he was young after knowing that his disciple is in love with a witch too.

Rating:
Storyline: 4 out of 5
Graphics: 4.5 out of 5

The GOOD:

I would say that the storyline is quite interesting. Especially the graphics are pretty good at the transformation between tiger to human or bear to human or human to dragon. The dressings of each character is nicely done to draft out each character.

I love how Mother Malkin's dressing. It made her looked very glam but yet evil.

The BAD:

The setback of this movie is at the ending whereby there isn't any much fighting scene between Mother Malkin and the young Thomas. All Thomas did was to burn the witch and it was the next scene. I was expecting Mother Malkin to die under the hands of Thomas but not through some internal fight between the bird and the dragon and then Mother Malkin died with 2 panda eyes. Mr. Roar and I were even joking that Mother Malkin got punched by the bird..

Anyway, I think Filmgrade is a very good cinema. They have student price at $10 per pax, and it includes a drink and small popcorn. Super worth it!

They have 2 cinemas, Bugis + and Leisure Park Kallang.
